GRI, e-PRO, RSPS, Associate Broker Personal Although I am not an Ocean City native, I have had sand in my shoes since I took my first steps! My family owned a cottage down here and we spent every summer in Ocean City enjoying the sun, ocean, boardwalk and all the good things Ocean City has to offer. Also, Ocean City is very special to me as I met my husband of 46 years on the Gardens Beach here! It only seems fitting that 15 years ago, we moved down here permanently after our 7 children were raised. We are both NJ and PA real estate brokers and have been in the real estate business for many, many years. After graduating from Rosemont College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, I taught first grade in the Upper Darby School District. After our own children were in school, I returned to teaching at the Rose Tree Media School District. Not only did I go to all the sporting events of our children, I also volunteered and taught girl's basketball for 25 years at our local parish school. I began painting 13 years ago after an illness forced me to look at my life style. To relax, I took my first tole painting lesson and I was hooked! Painting has been my favorite pasttime since then. In the beginning, by taking classes 4 times a week and attending every seminar I could find, my artistic talent blossomed (literally as I love to paint flowers!). I have an identical twin sister who has her Masters in Art, and I thought she had absorbed all the artistic genes "in utero"....but evidently she left some for me! Coming up with a name for my hobby was easy. The grandchildren call me "Precious" - so Precious Art it is! Along with many others, I helped organize a tole painting chapter - The Shore Pine Chapter of Decorative Artists - down here in Ocean City and have had the honor of being its President in 2000 and 2001. If you visit the new wing of the Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, you will see the murals that our chapter painted. We also have painted murals at the Senior Center in Ocean City and at the Crest Haven Nursing Home in Cape May Court House. These are all charitable contributions to our community. Professional Background I received my PA real estate licensure in 1970 and later received my broker's license. I was a member of the Delaware County Board of Realtors. Since we came to the shore every summer, I thought it wise to get a NJ real estate license which I did about 20 years ago...and subsequently got my NJ Broker's license. I am a member of the Ocean City Board of Realtors and the Cape May County Board of Realtors. Knowing that education is so important, I received my GRI and a few years ago was one of the first to get my e-Pro certification. In 2006, I was the 34th real estate agent in the country to earn my RSPS certification - Resort and Second Home Property Specialist so that my present and future buyers and sellers can feel comfortable with my expertise. Every year I return to PA and take continuing education courses to keep my license active and to keep my real estate knowledge up to date. I am also a member of the National Association of Realtors and the New Jersey Association of Realtors. Specialization One of my specialties is the selling and renting of vacation and investment homes in Ocean City and the surrounding seashore communities of Marmora, Somers Point, Seaville, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Wildwood, Cape May, Sea Isle and Egg Harbor. BUT my biggest specialty is YOU. I will work for you and with you to help you find Your Castle in the Sand!.
